Consider proposing a session to share your best practices with colleagues from across the state. We’re focusing this year’s sessions and are looking for those that address the following strands:
  • Science leadership – how are you connecting with colleagues, STEM professionals, and/or the community outside your classroom?
  • Science content – new, effective ways you’ve found to share content rigor represented in the science standards. This is intended to grow the content level of the adults attending – not necessarily what you’re doing in your classroom.
  • STEM strategies – how are you integrating and incorporating inquiry, technology, engineering, and math into your classroom practice?
  • Teaching strategies – how are you effectively grouping students, using best practices (like those identified by Carolyn Tomlinson in differentiated instruction), operating and meeting the needs of diverse populations or inclusion classes with special needs populations?

Conference Highlights

  • Science content and pedagogy workshops
  • TSTA booth with TSTA shirts and recommended resource books
  • Review of science books and materials in the Exhibit Hall
  • Opportunities to network with other science educators
